I am working away on my socks for the Socktopia Knitalong, and although I have not made as much progress as some folks, I'm feeling happy about mine so far. Here are the Thuja socks I'm making... the first one was actually begun in 2006, but they still count to me! They fit the January theme because the reinforcement thread and some of the stripes are the color of Garnets. The yarn is called "Avanti" and it's sport weight on size 4 needles. It is a lot of fun to work with because on the ball it doesn't look a thing like I thought it would, so every stripe felt like a surprise. (That may be the nerdiest thing ever written, but I'm counting on my knitting friends to understand.)
And here are the socks (well, so far just sock) I'm making for the "Blue Monday" theme. When I get them all done, I'll explain how they fit that theme.
