My new Christmas BallWinder of Joy

I already knew that my husband was high on the list of the world's great husbands...but his Christmas gift to me definitely moved him to the top of the list! He bought me a ball-winder and swift, and a Lantern Moon knitting tote. I think what touched me about this gift was that he listened to me talk about things I'd like and went out of his way to find a ballwinder on the internet, and also that he is supportive of my knitting hobby.

On Christmas eve, after the kids were tucked in and all the stuff was done, I sat up and made yarn cakes on my new toy:
